Well, save for that last request, apparently plain English queries (or 13 other languges) to a GPS stystem are now possible thanks to software by IBM built onto Pioneer's new AVIC-HD1BT nav unit. We'd much prefer to use a phrase like "Find me a hotel in Paris in the seizième arrondissement, play Serge Gainsbourg's ' Je t'aime' and adjust for mood lighting - s'il te plaît" and have our ride respond instantly. Thanks for looking.Yeah, we love GPS around here as much as the next guy, but it really doesn't impress our lady friends too much when our mellifluous prose gets interrupted by Cro Magnon-like gestures while we have to ask for directions on our nav units. All international mail will now be sent via Royal Mail Airmail First Class unless the customer requests otherwise. Best Hard Drive specifically designed for GPS systems. The hard disks are security marked physically and electronically. There is ample room on any of the hard drives for phone data. A 60gb holds 450 plus Cd's in the library. To clear up some misconceptions and for the information of customers a 30gb holds roughly 170 Cd's in the library. The 60gb hard drive allows for more music to be copied into the library.
THIS INCLUDES ALL PREVIOUSLY SOLD HARD DRIVES. THE HARD DRIVES WILL NOW COME WITH A RETURN TO BASE 90 DAY WARRANTY. Even replaced the hard drive on occasions when the customer was not able to make the file corrections, for the cost of return postage. These things happen and I have been able to resolve all the issues amicably with a phone call or Google Talk. Some customers whilst copying material to the hard drives have caused errors. I clearly state that if hard drives are faulty they will be replaced.
I go to great lengths to sort any problems that I am made aware of. Just for clarification purposes the drives that are sold are always Toshiba specifically designed for GPS applications. I can also help with avic x1 series upgrades. All you have to do is send me your unlocked original hard drive and I will copy it onto the new drive. I can transfer all your music onto the new hard drive as well as your phone data. Will also be happy to help just e-mail me. Work will be carried out at purchasers risk.

Full cost of sending old hard drive and return to be borne by purchaser. To do this the customer has to unlock the hard drive with a CD I will send to them. Full software supplied to unlock customer's own hard drive in unit to copy across music etc. Full instructions will be supplied with hard drive to remove old drive etc. As it is the hard drive in the units that are locked to the specific unit then this hard drive will be fully unlocked for future additions and can be fitted into any of the above units. The Upgrade includes all the latest files and Databases. If that be the case then this replacement hard drive will make it work again installing all the required Firmware and Software SO DON'T BIN IT BUY THE HARD DRIVE. If your Screen says HDD CANNOT BE READ it is more than likely that your hard drive has failed. The latest and last CNDV-1100HD, 2012 TOMTOM MAP UPGRADE for PIONEER AVIC-HD1, HD1BT, AVIC-HD3, HD3BT AND AVIC-HD3-II. That's a real shame as these are excellent bits of kit.

I am afraid that Pioneer are no longer supporting these units or the Avic X1 range so this is the last map update they are doing. The proper hard drives are becoming extremely difficult to obtain. Item: 302899130865 2012 MAP UPGRADE PIONEER AVIC-HD1BT AVIC-HD3BT AND AVIC-HD3-II TOSHIBA 60gb HDD.
